Mystery Parade is an anthemic record, lifted by the collective energy from everyone who has ever had a relationship with these songs. Having been in England and Kansas City recently I realized that many of these songs have long histories. Attachments to times, places and people. The further I get away the clearer I see just how wide a snap shot of time these songs represent.

Danny McGaw brings together the working class edge of Northern English rock and the soul of American folk. In songs packed with passion and complexity, Manchester-born Danny McGaw draws from the experiences of a long personal journey. A pro-soccer-player-turned-street-singer, Danny honed his skills on the sidewalks of Santa Monica before finding his way to Kansas City, where he quickly established a reputation as a singer and songwriter of rare intensity.
McGaw recently moved back to his beloved California, where he founded his label Northern Lad Records. A prolific songwriter and accomplished sound engineer, Danny produces several records a year for himself as well as recording other musicians. He has had placements in a Sundance Film Festival favorite next to Tori Amos, two Tribeca Film Festival favorites, VH1's Couples Therapy and more. Danny performs live as much as possible and loves his growing collaborative, international community of musicians.
Danny's music ranges from anthemic to bare and intimate, from garage rock to folk, from searing electric guitars to acoustic finger-picking reminiscent of Nick Drake. He combines British rock and American acoustic traditions in finely crafted songs, sung with honesty and heart.
